Items Available at ADEC e-Store
The MSU Extension Service has two items available for purchase through the American Distance Education Consortium e-Store. ADEC is a non-profit distance education consortium composed of state universities and land-grant colleges. The consortium was conceived and developed to promote the creation and provisionof high quality, economical deistance education programs and services to diverse audiences, by the land grand community of colleges and universities through the most appropriate information technologies avalailable. The e-store provides a means for member institutions to make available various distance education products. The Mississippi State Extension Services has a Market Goat video series and the Southeast Equite Conference online modules available.
The Market Goat video series is a two-disc package featuring MSU Extension Agent Kipp Brown. The first disc includes a live evaluation of the meat goat for prospect selection and discusses judging criteria for the market goat project. The second disc is a discussion on fitting and grooming of the market goat including equipment and techniques. This session ends with a showmanship demonstration. This series will assist volunteers, exhibitors and agents to better understand the market goat project and prpare clientele to do a better job with the club goat project.
The Southeast Equine Conference short course is made up of a series of online modules that provides current science-based information from the leading equine professionals in the U.S. Instructors give applicable information that you can implement with your horses. The new NRC requirements for horses are presented for the first time in this format. This online course includes 10 sessions and provides video instruction with PowerPoint support. Conference proceedings are also included.
